Due to the escalating concerns for COVID-19, the Suffolk STANYS Board met and decided to postpone our conference March 18, 2020 at Brookhaven National Lab until a date in the fall. Our concern is for the health and the spread of the corona virus for all our presenters, participants, vendors and BNL staff.
For the participants that registered through Eventbrite, our Suffolk STANYS Treasurer will mail a reimbursement check to the address you used when you registered. I will email anyone that didn’t give a mailing address when they registered asking of one.
For the participants that registered with a district Purchase Order, we will be in contact with your business office letting them know the conference was postponed and to cancel the PO. If a check was sent, the district will be reimbursed.
For our presenters, we thank you for agreeing to share your expertise and hope you will consider presenting at our next Suffolk STANYS Conference.
For our Vendors, we thank you for your support and offer to share your educational materials with our educational community. If you sent a check, it will be returned, or a new check will be issued for reimbursement. If you shipped materials in advance to BNL, they will use the return labels in the boxes to return the materials to you. If you have questions about that, contact Stephanie (m.stephanie.obrien@gmail.com) or me (gblink735@gmail.com).
Thank you all for your support and interest in professional learning. In these unique times, stay healthy.
